Scope
How to enable / disable call forwarding for an extension from various sources.
Alert
Requirements
  1. Manager Portal access to manage via portal
    1. Basic User - Can configure only their own forwarding
    2. Managers - Can configure for other users

From a Phone

  1. To configure call forwarding dial *72<Number to Forward To> (ex: *724445551212). This will enable call forwarding and set the forwarding number
  2. After the forwarding number has been set:
    1. Dial *73 - Disable call forwarding
    2. Dial *40 - Enable call forwarding to the set forwarding number

From Manager Portal

Managers

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal
  2. Select Users tab
  3. Select the user to update
  4. Select Answering Rules tab

Users

  1. Login to the Manager Portal
  2. Select the Answering Rules tab

Next Steps

Idea
It is recommended to set the Ring For time to at least 35 seconds, or callers may receive an "invalid destination" message if the extension times out before the forwarded cell phone number does.
  1. Select the active answering rule to edit
  2. Check Call Forwarding Always and enter the number to forward to
  3. Click Save
