Scope
SNAPbuilder is a tool that provides the visual ability to customize the buttons on devices.

Requirements
  1. Manager Portal Access
    1. Basic Users - Can configure their device
    2. Office Managers - Can configure other users devices
  2. Desk Phone

Launch SNAPbuilder

Office Managers

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal
  2. Select the Inventory tab
  3. Select the Phone Hardware tab
  4. Locate the device to configure
    1. Use either the MAC Address or Line to locate the device
  5. Click either the MAC Address or the Gear icon to launch SNAPbuilder

Users

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal
  2. Select the Phones tab
  3. Click the Gear icon on the device to launch SNAPbuilder


Using SNAPbuilder


Warning
Button 1 should always be setup as your extension as a Line Appearance
  1. Click on a button on the right side to customize it
    1. The corresponding button will highlight on the image on the left.
  2. Customize the button
    1. Choose a feature for the button
    2. Enter the desired target for the feature
    3. Enter an optional label for the button
  3. After customizing buttons - click the arrow next to Save and select Save and resync

  4. The device will resync its configuration.
    1. Some devices will reboot to resync

Button Features

Feature
Description
Line Appearance
Line (Extension) registration.
User (BLF)
Shows the presence status of another extension. Also functions as a speed dial to that extension.
Call Park
Moves a call to the specified call park. Will also pickup a call from the specified call park.
Speed Dial
Speed dial for either an on-net or off-net number.
DTMF
Sends the entered DTMF tones. Also supports * (star) and # (hash).
Queue Toggle
Toggles the status of the user / extension in the selected queue.
Timeframe Toggle
Toggles the status of the selected timeframe.
Move My Call
Moves a user's active call from another device to this device.

Directory Cascade

Click the hamburger menu (3 dots) to the right of a button to select.

This will populate the buttons starting from the chosen button as User (BLF) with the chosen directory setting.
  1. Cascade Dynamic
    1. This will update the list every time an extension is added / removed / modified.
    2. This will update every time the device updates its config.
  2. Cascade Static
    1. This will populate the list with a snapshot of the current chosen directory.
    2. This will NOT change when extensions are added / removed / modified.
